Virata Parvam Movie Trailer

The 3-minutes video starts by introducing us to Vennela, played by Sai Pallavi. She is a fan or hardcore admirer of a personality. She feels deeply for him, but she is unable to slot her feeling as love. Soon, we meet the man she has secretly fallen for – Rana Daggubati, who plays Comrade Ravanna also known by his pen name Aranya. Rana is part of a Naxalite group that believes in socialism.

Movie Story

The story set in the late 70s in Telangana when the Naxal movement was at its peak. Vennela(Sai Pallavi) belongs to a lower caste and is quite inspired by the revolutionary poetry written by a famous Naxalite Ravanna(Rana Daggubati). Without even meeting Ravanna, Vennela falls in love with him and leaves her home, and starts her journey to find Ravanna. After a crazy turnaround of events, she crosses paths with Ravanna. Will Ravanna accept her love? What problems did Vennela face in her journey? and what happened to her, in the end, is the whole story of the film.

Movie Review

Rana as usual gave his heart and did his best. But the story not balanced as classic Sinduram the best film ever on this theme (as for me). These days many films are made with ideological propaganda, some of them are right and some of them are left. This is purely left-leaning. Naxalism has an ideology at it core that may have the right intentions but it done more harm than good to society. Showcasing some of them as heroes is ok, but projecting the whole society and system as a villan to make them super hero’s is you are barking same thing to what you are objecting. This film proves that either right or left the extreme idealistic themes are narrow minded and only believe in their own truth.

Sai Pallavi has reinvigorated the job of Vennela. With impeccable appearances and feelings in her eyes, and face, Pallavi conveyed a remarkable execution. She merits trees and grants for this demonstration. Rana Daggubati is marvelous as Naxal pioneer Ravanna who has major areas of strength.

Priyamani and Naveen Chandra as Comrades Bharathakka and Raghanna get observable jobs that are essential for a pivotal contort in the film. Yet, their jobs are generally unsurprising and generalized. Nandita Das enhances the job she played. Sai Chand, to no one’s surprise, was dazzled as Sai Pallavi’s dad. Generally, Virata Parvam has serious and practical exhibitions.

The second half traverses a less-traveled path, introducing elements that would not be part of a run-of-the-mill story. The backdrop of Naxalism, the characters of rebels (from Ravanna to Priyamani’s Comrade Bharatakka and Naveen Chandra’s Comrade Raghu), the situations, and the violence used to elevate the stakes.
