Movie Story
Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League kidnapped. Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig. Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.
Movie Review
A high-concept animated film about animals with superpowers brought to vibrant, endearing life by the superpowers behind the scenes. Lively voice talent from an all-star cast, a script that is smart, exciting, and very funny, and, above all. The ability to tap into one of humanity’s deepest emotions, our love for our pets and theirs for us. Comedy too often comes from a place of skepticism, opposition, or irony. But here, the most hilarious moments come from a deep understanding of and affection for comics. Okay, maybe there is some snark in the joke about smooth jazz.
A lot of adults seem to be upset about the 10 second shot of two women dating but it really was not nearly as prominent as everyone is making it out to be. It was literally just a shot of two women standing together by a tree. It was actually a voice over from one of their pets that informs the audience that they’re together. Without that, I don’t think that many kids would have even noticed. Throughout the film, there are some cuss words spoken from one of the characters but the cuss words bleeped out and they don’t used in a context that kids haven’t heard before from their parents. As far as the action scenes go, they were what you would expect from a DC animated kids film. If your child is easily (And I mean super easily) scared by loud and frantic scenes, then this is not the film for them.
This movie was awesome. So much fun and really beautiful overall. Those of you who think showing a same-sex couple for two seconds is grooming the children who watch this, for the love of God, educate yourselves on what grooming actually means. And ask yourself why it is fine for you to have your children watch movies containing literal child brides (Snow White, Cinderella & co.) as main characters, if you‘re oh-so anti-grooming.
