Movie Story
The story of Bajre Da Sitta is based on the lives and desires of two sisters, Roop and Basant played by Tania and Noor Chahal. These girls belong to a typical old-school sardaar family which believes it’s not good for a female to sing professionally. While Roop and Basant keep knitting their dreams to sing more, their family refuses to allow them to sing. Fortunately for the girls, the fathers witness a change of heart on continuous persuasion, so they allow the sister to sing but under a lot of restriction.
Initially, the names of the girls are kept under the wraps as per the rule of their parents, but later when the record label’s new edition makes their names public, things change. On one hand, where it brings joy to the hearts of Roop and Basant, on the other hand, it brings shame to the name of their family.

The story of Bajre Da Sitta isn’t like the usual stories we get to watch in Punjabi movies. It is a ladies-centric film, in which not one however girl play the lead. Also, it wouldn’t have been an easy challenge to direct. As this is a duration drama, we’re greater than delighted to finish this mission by truly justifying the old technology.
